Quick heads-up before we dive into today’s college spotlight:
Most families I talk to are doing everything they think is right. Sending emails. Attending showcases. Building profiles. But without a clear strategy, it's easy to spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours… and still end up with no offers.
That's not a talent problem. It's a process problem.
The Premier Athletes Recruiting Program exists to solve exactly that. When you work with me directly, you get a personalized roadmap built around your son's specific talent, academics, and target schools — so nothing falls through the cracks and no time is wasted chasing the wrong opportunities.
Families in this program don't guess. They execute.
The assessment takes a few minutes. The call is a straight conversation about where <<First Name>> stands and what his path forward actually looks like. No fluff, no pressure, just clarity.
THE KNIGHTS ARE BACK IN THE ROOM
UCF baseball is entering year three of the Rich Wallace era, and the program is building something real in Orlando. After snapping a seven-year NCAA Tournament drought in 2024 and competing in the Big 12 for just the second time in 2025, the Knights are now 15-7 through the first month of the 2026 season. That's not a fluke. That's a program finding its footing in one of the toughest conferences in college baseball.
The Big 12 is stacked, and UCF is learning to compete with the best. For the right recruit, that's not a deterrent. That's the opportunity.
If you're a parent looking for help getting your athlete to the next level, I can definitely help you.

RICH WALLACE: HE CAME HOME FOR A REASON
Rich Wallace is a UCF guy through and through. He played for the Knights from 2000–2003, coached here from 2004–2008, and in June 2023 came home as the program's seventh head coach — the first UCF alum ever named head coach of a men's sport at his alma mater.
He didn't stumble into this role. Wallace spent two decades building his resume at High Point, Creighton (Big East Recruiter of the Year, 2016), Jacksonville, Notre Dame, and Florida State under Link Jarrett. His teams have produced 55+ MLB draft picks and 60+ all-conference performers. He helped take Notre Dame to the College World Series in 2022.
Year one at UCF: NCAA Tournament. Year two: five players drafted. Year three: 15-7 start. The trajectory is pointing one direction.
"We're excited about this group — not only on the field but off the field, with a record-setting GPA in the classroom." — Coach Rich Wallace
HOT START, BIG CONFERENCE AHEAD (2026 SEASON)
Current Record: 18-8
Through early March 2026, UCF is rolling. Senior OF DeAmez Ross — who hit .359 with 84 hits and earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2025 — is back leading the lineup. The pitching staff features transfers from South Carolina, LSU, and Western Kentucky alongside returners. Big 12 matchups still ahead with Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, TCU, and West Virginia. This is Power Five baseball at full volume.

About Alex
Meet your college baseball recruiting specialist: Alex Swenson.
As a high school baseball player, I navigated the college recruiting process all on my own. Despite average statistics, I landed a spot on a Division-1 baseball team Jacksonville University, where I became a 3-time team captain. Post-college, I became a D1 coach, scout, and recruiter at Georgetown University and Ole Miss, where we won an SEC championship.
After experiencing the process as both recruit and recruiter, I’ve successfully dissected the best strategies to connect with college coaches and draw offers from them.
Receive professional direction from Alex himself until your son commits to his desired school. A step-by-step action plan will be provided with strategic small-group coaching meetings every 2 weeks to ensure we are making progress. Included is a baseball networking platform that connects him to coaches, optimizes his exposure to scouts, alerts him to college camps and showcases, and MUCH MORE.
